A young Sangiovese, an IGT with a great aging potential. A red wine with an intense color.
The plants date back to 2012, the year in which 7,500 Sangiovese plants were planted in 43 rows in one and a half hectares of land, adhering to the classic Tuscan method. At 180m above sea level, the l’Apparita estate vineyard occupies the slope facing south-west, a position that satisfies the species’ need for light, producing an ideal quantity of sugars and alcohol. It creates a unique wine, dedicated to the most represented vine of Tuscany: Sangiovese.
A purist choice and a production of 6 to 7 thousand bottles a year that aim at the quality and care of the product. The entire process lasts 3 years, necessary to increase the complexity of this wine which, by nature, needs time to expand its aromatic content and body.
2015 was the year of the first harvest and a small test production.
2016 was the first real vintage of this wine.
